Who doesn’t want to make money with just words? How would you like to put your money where your fingers are?
You can do this in several ways on the internet. One of the fastest and easiest is to start a blog. You heard. Put your expertise, love, wants, desires or whatever it is you want on a blog. Since blogs are flexible, there is a large number of ways you can make money with it.
Here are 3 Ways to Make Money With a Blog
1. Make some digital products.
It’s not that hard. If you have ever been in school (which I’m going to guess you at least have some high school experience under your belt) you’ve probably written a paper and maybe even done a presentation in front of the class.
All you have to do is record your presentation on your computer (which nowadays is very easy to do with programs like Camtasia or ScreenFlow or many other free programs) and promote them on your blog.
Place banner ads on your website sidebar. Email your list with your product and even get other people to promote for you while you share profits with them.
Here’s an example: Let’s just say you are superb at healthy eating, and you decide to write an eBook about it. You can do this in a basic program like Microsoft Word or Google Docs and convert them into downloadable PDF’s. You can even sell it as a Kindle book on Amazon (Note: Anyone can do this). You can also write a blog post about your book with a very catchy headline like “Top 10 Foods That Heal Your Leaky Gut” and put a link at the end of your post so that your readers can buy it.
Does it work? Yes, and really well. Especially if you build a really good following on your blog.
Blogging gives you the opportunity to show off your experience and expertise. In time, as you blog, you will establish yourself as a trusted expert in a particular subject. People will learn to know, like and trust you and will not only buy from your BUT, will also tell their friends about you.
2. Sell Affiliate products on your blog.
If making your own products is well, beyond your reach right now, sell other people’s products. It’s called affiliate marketing.
What is it?
All it means is that you promote good products (preferably ones you trust and like) and when people buy off your promotions on your blog, you make a commission. Pat Flynn and many other celebrity bloggers make a killing this way. In fact, most bloggers make at least some money this way because it is just too easy.
There are many companies (even big name companies like Walmart and Amazon) that have affiliate programs. In fact, Amazon is one of the most popular and easiest to get into. Although, commissions are not that high as compared to other affiliate programs out there.
If you are in the digital or info product space, Clickbank is the go to company that has plenty of programs you can promote on your blog. One of the cool things about Clickbank is that their commission structure is great. You can earn 50% or even 75% for some of the products they list.
3. Third but not least is Google Adsense.
You probably have noticed that sometimes you see ads when you visit certain websites. Well, the big chunk of those ads come from the King Pin Google. In fact, it’s the way Google makes most of its money.
The down low:
-People click on an ad – Google pays you. Plain and simple.
The biggest benefit to this way of making money with your blog is that you really don’t have to sell a thing. All you have to worry about is writing (or pay someone) really good content. The better and juicier the content, the more popular your blog will become. All of this more traffic to your blog so….more traffic = more clicks. It’s that simple and easy.
There are literally hundreds of ways you can make money with your blog. These are just 3 of the most popular ways. If you’ve never contemplated starting a blog but have thought of starting a business, this is an excellent starting point.
You are probably here because you just can’t stand the thought of having to set foot on that crappy job. But, you need it because you’ve got bills to pay.
The best thing about starting a blog and monetizing it is that it can be started part time and on the side. A blog doesn’t guarantee that you can leave your job immediately as it does take some time to grow. BUT, it offers some motivation into know that out there, in the world of making money, there are other ways besides working for bosses – I’m just saying.
